It's hard to explain in pictures how you feel when you see the Grand Canyon in person. You feel so tiny and insignificant. A storm was lingering and we couldn't get the "perfect picture". Oh well, we had to make the best of it.

Double Arches. You can see on the left side, two arches, they look like holes in the rocks.

Elevation 12,000 ft


At the summit, about 12,000 ft. Pine trees can't grow at this elevation. This area is a tundra, only small plants & grass grow here. Behind me is snow left over from last winter. The temp here was really, really cold, felt like 20 degrees with the wind.
